A Clear Path Forward

Apprentice Technician

This is the learning and proving phase. You’ll build foundational skills, learn our systems, work alongside experienced technicians, and show that you have the work ethic, attitude, reliability, and coachability to succeed here.

Strong performers can graduate early.

Certified Flooring Technician

At this level, you’ve proven you can work independently, follow our systems, meet quality and productivity expectations, and professionally represent Church’s Flooring in our customers’ homes.

You’ll also begin helping newer apprentices develop.

Craftsman Technician

This is where technical mastery really begins to pay.

As you master additional flooring categories, including carpet, hardwood, and ceramic tile, your earning potential increases.

Advancement at this level is based on demonstrated performance, not simply time on the job. You’ll take on more complex projects, greater responsibility, and a larger role in developing the technicians around you.

Master Flooring Technician

Master Technicians represent the highest field standard at Church’s Flooring.

They lead crews, manage complex installations, mentor developing technicians, solve problems in the field, protect the customer experience, and help set the standard for everyone around them.

For top performers, total earning potential can continue beyond base pay through our technician performance incentive program.
